PTR Advantages - Reduced Distortion

We like to use coaxial drivers because their alignment makes all of the sound appear to come from one point in space. They produce low amounts of distortion, even in conventional cabinets. As you can see from this graph, the distortion harmonics are at least 40 dB below the main signal.

When placed in an PTR cabinet, the distortion is even less. As you can see from this graph, the distorion in an PTR cabinet averages at least 10 dB below what the drivers produce in an ordinary, square-box speaker cabinet. The difference is easily measureable, and obvious to human ears.
